Stifling
Jagged Verse

My days are carbon copies
of
one another.
The only way I can tell it’s a different day
is by looking at the
color
of
my uniform.
Today is blue.
Yesterday was maroon.
The day before that was blue.
Or is that today?
My breakfast meals are a blur.
But I do know that they all had Log Cabin
in common.
Log Cabin on waffles.
Log Cabin on pancakes.
Log Cabin on French toast.
But I couldn’t tell you which day I ate what.
The routine is stifling.
